Andrew Inskip, Terry Stanley and James Murray are the future of teamodell. Coached by Coach O’Dell, the lads have moved into the top training group, and are handling the training and racing thrown their way with great maturity.

Andrew’s been running for just over three years now. He started because he found he was coming quite high up in races during school PE lessons. Andrew was selected to run for the school a few times and decided to take a step further and join Bedford and
Goals for 2004 include top ten in the Southern XC Championships, top 15 National XC and Inter Counties XC, top 50 in English schools XC. On the track Andrew fancies a sub 2min 800m, sub 8min 50sec 3000m and 4min 04sec for 1500m.
Team Manager’s comments: “Andrew came to the club as an 800m runner but has shown that the longer distances (3,000m) may be his better option. Andrew is an excellent trainer but needs to show that same determination in races. He has the potential and just needs one really good race to give him that belief.”
James Murray – DOB 25th Jan 1988

1500m 4:27 from 2003 @ Luton

Goals for 2004 include top 20 in English schools XC, under 9 minutes for 3000m, under 4:15 for 1500m, and getting in the Great Britain Triathlon team for the 2004 European youth relays again.
Team Manager’s comments: “At 11/12 years of age James showed tremendous potential particularly at 1500m where his times were some of the best around for his age. His development since has not matched that potential but James has the determination to put himself back up there with some consistent hard training that he will be able to get from the teamodell group. Longer term his future may be with the multi discipline races where he shows exceptional talent.”

What made you take up running?
It was mostly to do with the fact that my Dad is a runner and has always encouraged me to run.
How long have you been running?
I have been running since I was about 8 but have been at Bedford for the last 6 years.
Favourite training course
My favourite course to do in training is a long run from the underpass by the embankment to Kempston and back.
Favourite training session
The mile reps at Kempston.
Goals for 2004
Top 10 in the inter counties XC
Close to 4 minutes in 1500m
8.40 or better in the 3000m
“Terry has had an excellent cross country season to date but needs the self belief and mental toughness over the next few months to believe he can mix it with the top Under 17s at the Nationals. On the track, 3000m is probably his best distance and again there is no reason why he can’t continue to compete with the best which in turn should see continued improvements in his times.”
